I just read this Portfolio story revealing Ad.ly as the Adonis DNA behind Charlie Sheen’s record breaking twitter account. From a gawking standpoint, it’ll sure be interesting when some brand becomes the first to link itself to the Sheen micro endorsing F-18. (Sorry, can’t help it.) Inevitably, TBD Brand will take shots for its arguable poor taste. (Wait, this is a blog, do I have to say arguable?) Likelihood is TBD Brand will be a brand needing or wanting a jolt of awareness, regardless of what kind of light a Sheen tweet will cast on its image.
This all stated… got any bets who’ll be first? Four Loko? A safe bet, for sure.
My call, if it’s a known brand? Miracle Whip. Have you seen the curious “Love or Hate” campaign?
